I don’t have enough fantastic things to say about this session. I think what hits me the most is the obvious, unrelenting love between Lauren && Scott. Newborn sessions can take anywhere from 2-4 hours (we are on baby time!), so I get to know the parents fairly well as we chat the time away. You can tell they are still totally smitten with each other and now, with their newest addition, Eli, who was only 15 days new.
Lauren found the inspiration for Eli’s name over his crib from Pinterest. I swear, half the fun for me with newborn sessions is to see how the parents decorate the nursery (no pressure to my future newborn sessions … pause, not). They also repainted her grandparent’s armoire, which delights me to no end, as I always find refurnishing awesome. I’m a total DIYer at heart! Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Pottery Barn, but it’s imperative to add something a little personal and a bit eclectic to any room. Before I go off on a tangent (not shocking!), without further ado …
Buddy couldn’t wait to get into the room with us for his photo op!
This used to hang in Scott’s nursery. 🙂
Lauren had learned to play the piano well before they met and she taught Scott how to play. See what I mean?? I love that they have mutual interests and it’s something unique that they enjoy doing together.
Another fantastic idea! The picture in the middle is of Lauren, with her parents on either side. Same with Scott and his parents below. Simply fab!
Str8 chillin.

Being adorable is SUCH tough work!
Baby eyelashes are my latest obsession!
