First and foremost, I’m rather concerned/embarrassed that it has been since early November since my last post. IN MY DEFENSE, it’s the holidays which means that I have been uber slammed editing the holiday sessions so that these gorgeous families can send out their holiday cards. Once I get home from work, I have to make an executive decision: edit or blog. You can see which has been winning.
BUT, I just cannot hold this session back any longer! I am obsessed with it. OBsessed. The light was insane. This couple was GORGeous. I can’t even take credit for any of these images because this made my job way too easy. 🙂 I was thrilled when Trish originally emailed me because she found me in the Pink + Blue issue of Metro Parent Magazine. It was such an honor to be nominated by my AWESOME clients in order to be featured as a Metro Detroit Baby Photographer. For that, I am eternally grateful.

When Trish contacted me, she told me she wanted her maternity sessions to have more of an engagement shoot feel. That is when I knew this session was going to rock! We were a perfect fit, as that is the exact approach I take with my maternity sessions. My goal is to show the LOVE and EMOTION between a couple as they stand today. In this moment. Their lives are going to be forever changed in just a short time, be it by getting married or by introducing a babe. But right now, it’s just the two of them.

I love that Trish brought this part of her shower invitation to our sesh. Notice the due date … and yes, you already read correctly that I am shooting their newborn sesh next week. Their little babe arrived early!

The sun was setting and the golden hour was just incredible. These rings are sitting on a fence post with the sun in the background. Just stunning, if I do say so myself. 🙂
