It’s 11:15p. Those of you who follow this blog know that I not only run {kgP}, but I also have my corporate gig. I’ve been a team leader within my group for eight {my GOOD LORD, eight??} years and my biggest deadline of the year is March 01. The last two weeks of February, I use up the last bit of my brain cells while I am at the office and I come home and crash. Hard. This is an important fact for me to share with you … because my being awake at 11:15p eight days prior to my big deadline is unheard of. UNLESS IT IS BECAUSE I am sitting here writing the MOST EXCITING BLOG POST of all time. Okay, exciting for me anyway.

It’s herrrrre! It’s here! It’s finally here. I have been designing my revamped blogsite in my head for a good six months and I knew I had to wait until the holidays were behind me before I could focus on my rebrand. When I first decided to build a blogsite back in 2011, I hired a designer to build it for me because, quite frankly, I had no idea what the heck I was doing. WordPress? Wait, which one? WordPress.com or WordPress.org? Aren’t they the same thing? Hosting? Huh? ProPhoto? HELP.

Seriously, I was all over the map. But I did hire someone who guided me along the way and the template we made together suited me at the time. Three years later, both my business and myself as a photographer have evolved and I needed my branding to showcase who I am now and the direction I am heading. I wanted it to be sophisticated, clean, and scream high-end. Nothing cutesie. No whimsical or trendy fonts that I will get sick of in the years to come. I wanted a strong brand and so I brought in the best …

… and she just happens to be one of my bests. 🙂 If you’re looking to revamp your own branding {and it absolutely does not have to be photography related!}, Angela De La Rosa Designs is currently taking new clients {and working on her own blogsite!}! I’ll be sure to write a post shouting her mad skillz from the rooftops as soon as she launches — more on that to come. So not only did we brainstorm logos and branding, we collaborated on the overall design — Ang, you have no idea how much I appreciate you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The only other thing as exciting as my new brand is my SPANKING NEW promotional video that I was gifted for my birthday last summer from my AHmazing fiance, Larry. I had kept talking and talking and talking about hiring a company to shoot a video for my site and I was FLOORED when he told me what he had done. No, scratch that. I was FLOORED when I found out he had hired one of the best cinematic video production companies in the Detroit area, Zara Creative.

To say that I am obsessed with this video is an understatement. It exceeds my expectations on every level. Working with other creatives also gave me a sneak into the psyche of my clients — and I have a new appreciation of how hard it is to let go of the control and just let the people you hire do what they know how to do. So, Heather and Eric, I have no words. I will be recommending your services to each and every bride I meet — you were so much fun to work with; I trust your vision completely and your work ethic is astounding. The words ‘thank you’ just do not seem like enough.
Speaking of ‘thank yous’, thank you also to the wonderful Emily Cook {based out of Salon H202} for the hair and make-up services the day of the shoot {girlll, you’re looking good in this video!} and to my incredible clients: Carly, Valerie, Chris, Trish, Delomer and sweet little Violet. I love you all dearly and this video is only as incredible as it is because that is what you are. And, finally, Lawrence. Thank you for being SO thoughtful. Your generosity astounds me daily and I cannot wait until our elopement in two months. You are the best partner I could have asked for in all facets and I am sosoSO excited for our future. I love you.

Okay, kids. I’m off to bed. Lots of love and lots to come! xo
