I say this all the time, but I really am lucky to have THE.BEST clients. This sweet couple is no exception. There was not one thing about their fabulous wedding day that I did not absolutely love. Laura found me when she was searching images online for her wedding venue and she came across a wedding I previously shot at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom in Plymouth. You may remember from their engagement session that they live in Florida, but are Michigan natives, and I am SO happy they asked me to document such an important day.

The moment that I knew that this wedding was going to be ultra fab was when I walked into the hotel room where the girls were getting ready and I saw THE dress. I remember doing a double take, walking over to where it was hanging, touching the fabric and thinking that I finally get to photograph a pink wedding gown.  I could only smile when I saw Adam for the first time that day in his dapper tux and amazing shoes. And there we have it, kids. A ridiculously photogenic couple in a pink dress and black and white kicks.  I’m telling you, it was a perfect day.

And so we begin!

With glitter Toms for dancing the night away.

Laura’s sweet mom when she saw the florals for the day for the first time. I love catching these little moments.

Here Laura’s sorority sisters read a passage while they tied this blue ribbon underneath her gown in honor of tradition. So sweet! {And fire up, Chips!}

With Laura’s mom doing the honors.

One of my fave shots of the day. 🙂

SuperHEART.

And before we knew it, it was time to head to the church, Our Lady of Good Counsel.

I had to tell the flower girl that she is not supposed to show up the bride on her wedding day. Look at this tulle! And, yes, it was pink, too.

We’re married!

Making it official!

And then we headed into downtown Plymouth for some bridal portraits. Now this is one good lookin’ wedding party!

And truthfully, I could not love this color pallet more. Gah!

As I was photographing the girls, my 2nd photographer, Wayne, was with the guys. I always love when they come back for the group photos and tell me how awesome their shots are. I always think, ‘ya, I’ll be the judge of that.’ I have to say, looking through the images after-the-fact, I have to say they nailed it.

I can only assume these are their best Michael Jackson moves. MJ would be proud.

Yes, I could have photographed the two of them all day.

And now it’s time to celebrate! I say it every time, but PLEASE INVEST IN UPLIGHTING. It makes all the difference in the ambiance of the room.

This very well may be my favorite guest book to date … but I may be a little biased. 🙂

And then the entire bridal party entered … each to their own MJ song. 🙂 LOVED it.

I also enjoyed that their speeches were done in the middle of the dance floor in lieu of up at the head table. It made everyone a part of the celebration!

And then a sweet slideshow was played during dessert.

And then the party officially was under way. Congrats you two! Much love! xo
