I cannot begin to tell you how many AHmazing details Michelle put into their wedding day. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m sure Chris was alongside Michelle throughout this process, but let me tell you — Michelle is a bride after my own heart. She is ORGANIZED. She is Type-A. She knows what she wants and she executes. We are soul sisters. 🙂

This was my first time shooting at Waldenwoods, so my assistant and I arrived an hour early to scout for portrait locations. As we were driving by, she pointed to a little blue cabin tucked away and I immediately thought how ADORBS it would be if we could shoot there. And then, voila! My fave part is when I arrived, Michelle says, “Kristin, I knew you’d be so happy that we’re getting ready here! It has so much character!” Tru dat, sista. Tru dat.

Okay, somehow Michelle was able to pull together an outdoor Detroit Tigers themed wedding. And when I say ‘pull together’, I mean she rocked it. She and Chris are HUGE Tigs fans {we even shot their engagement session at the old Tiger Stadium … well, the lot and field anyway} and this could not have come together more beautifully.

M+C, thank you SO much for trusting me and my team to capture your most special of days. To say we had a blast is an understatement. I hope you love these as much as I do. I know you’re leaving on your honeymoon tomorrow, so today was my deadline for this blog post! Enjoy! xo

M+C each had one close friend stand alongside them and I absolutely LOVED how intimate our portraits were prior to the ceremony.

The day could not have been more beautiful. Anyone from MI knows that it has been a shoddy start to the Summer! But it was low 70s and gloriously sunny.

Meanwhile, Chris was getting ready at a nearby hotel.

His best man writing his speech. 🙂

Ahh, the boys have arrived!

And the first look. I can’t help it, I’m biased. I have an utmost respect for tradition, truly I do. But you just do not get this kind of emotion from the grooms when they are standing at the front of the altar in front of their 200 dearest friends and family. I could not recommend a ‘first look’ moment more.

Plus, ‘first looks’ give us ample time for portraits prior to the ceremony! We had a good two hours and I was in HEAVEN. Typically, a significant chunk of the wedding budget is spent on photography, so getting the most portraits out of your allotted time is just another reason to consider seeing each other beforehand!

I love how he looks at her. 🙂

Girl. You. Are. Stunning.

One of my fave bridal party shots to date!

These bouquets were STUNNING. And you know where they came from? Costco. I about died.

Okay, it’s about time to get hitched!

I love this shot of Chris waiting for his debut.

Okay, these two shots? The veil flying in the wind? Being escorted by her father? INcredible.

Yay! We’re married!

I love that they wanted to steal a few moments in front of their arbor.

Another favorite!

Seriously, this tent was glorious! I’m running out of words to use to describe this day, so forgive the repeats!

Um, pretty much the most creative escort cards. Evah.

Grand entrance! The new Mr. & Mrs.!

One of their aunts made them this Tigs quilt out of their vintage t-shirts! LOVE!!!

Gah! Another fave.

I know I have a lot of commentary for this blog post, but the details keep coming! In lieu of cake, custom ice cream cookie sandwiches. I mean, come on!

Okay, now let’s kick this par-tay off right. 🙂

Looks like I have some competition. 🙂 I was shooting the paper and the rings, looked up, and saw this. Now I know how it feels!

You knew this was coming. 🙂

And, Chris. I know I talked a lot about Michelle in this post, but this one is for you! xo
