It took me some time to figure out how I wanted to start this blog post. I wanted it to be the perfect entry simply because I could NOT adore these two any more than I do. I met them face-to-face for the first time in downtown Plymouth for their engagement session and I immediately fell in love with them. I had looked forward to their wedding throughout the summer — and it didn’t hurt that these two are two of the most photogenic people ever. Like, ever.

As I went through the images from their wedding day, I kept wondering to myself if Sara has any idea how much she smiles and laughs when she is around her love. And I’m not talking a sweet, demure smile {although, she has those mastered, as well}. I’m talking a belly laugh, head thrown back, smiling from ear-to-ear reaction to Rick. Not only was I smiling from behind my camera the entire day, but I was doing it all over again as I edited their stunning images.

Their wedding was held on a glorious day the first week into fall. Sunshine presents its array of shooting challenges, but I welcome it any day for that GORGEOUS back-lighting during portraits. And, speaking of — I was in heaven. Sara made sure to build in ample time during the wedding timeline and we made FULL use out of it — believe me. ย I really do not know how I chose the images for this post and my favorite part is that both they and their AWESOME wedding party were down to do whatever idea struck at the moment.ย Their wedding ceremony took place at historic Greenmead in Northville while the reception went well into the night at Andiamo in Novi.
S+R, I adore you and I hope you love these images as much as I do. Anddd here we go!

I was off shooting the portraits with the ladies while Wayne shot with the dudes. I love when I’m editing and I come across winners like this. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ahh! And now it’s time for my favorite part!

See?? Told ya. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, Sara. Go on.

If this were me, it would be a HUGE canvas over my couch. That LIGHT. That COMPOSITION. That COUPLE.

Absolutely stunning … and doesn’t even have to try.

Almost time.

Every couple should high-ten after getting hitched! ๐Ÿ™‚

And then we headed into downtown Northville for some more portraits. This LIGHT.

Oh, come ON! See? Do you SEE why this post is so long??

FAVORITE.

Not every bride will sit on the ground in her white wedding dress just because I ask them to. But then again, they don’t get images like this either. ๐Ÿ™‚

And to Andiamo’s we go!
